Lennie,

Yours is the only email I received today. The first day I was here I received 53. I copy these letters to about 60 addresses. The quietness speaks for itself. Vic's foot seems to be better. The people are are still out on the mud flats and tucked under concrete rubble. We saw them again yesterday. Today Mike will fly two flights and I will fly three allowing Susi Air to double their capacity .I have developed a severe productive cough, but I will carry on as much as possible.

There is something that anyone that receives this can do. Use all their connections to get us some real funding. Vic has 2 helicopters and needs a few hundred thousand dollars to operate his helicopters. We talked with the Norwegian Church Organization last night. He said that Norway had committed 200 million dollars to the effort. NORWAY. If we had a few hundred thousand dollars from the 7 BILLION dollars of aid I redad about, Vic could provide some of the most needed relief in the most needy place. Where is this money. Somebody certainly can provide this money now.

Does anybody back there have any idea what is going on here?? Vic is so disheartened by the lack of financial support he will go back to Guam as he can't stand the pain of looking at the people and not being able to help due to not getting the support we need. Iti and Braham will have to go back to work in a few days if they don't get some minor support.

You can help a lot by waking people up. Just because this is not in the news, THE DISASTER IS NOT OVER!

Very sadly yours,
Joe

Joe,

At least my pleas for help are now getting to the right person at NWA.

I plan to send a copy of your latest update to Vince to both the VP in HDQ
and the cargo mgr on Guam. Your update was very compelling and speaks for
itself. Must be hard to absorb and comprehend everything you are doing and
seeing there.

What I find really amazing is how the news media seems to have moved on, and
Tsunami news growing quieter by the day. Seems like the only thing you hear
lately are the internate based charity scams and the media continues to warn
people to avoid these.

Will you be staying there indefinitely? Also am wondering about the
situation with your King Air. I have a million quesions, but I realize you
have too few hours in the day and better things to do.

Hope you are holding up ok.

Lennie

Lennie,
I have forwarded your note to Tim Strauss(VP Global Ops-you might
remember him) who is the central player at NW for the Indonesia relief
project.

Dear Anthony,

Appreciate your prompt reply.

If I understand your message correctly, it sounds like part of the
problem
is that a backlog of supplies exists, and that this is within the
disaster
area(s). Therefore the current problem is not one of a lack of supplies
but
the challenge is the distribution of the supplies. What Dr. Edhlund
and
his team are trying to do is to get the supplies that are on-hand in
these
areas out to the remote areas where the people are who have not yet
received
any supplies due to difficulties in reaching these affected areas.

Who would you suggest that I can talk to at NWA HDQ? Since I have not
been
in the company for over 10 years now, most of the players have changed
over
that time. Out of respect for the how the process usually works, I
wanted
to first communicate the request to you and Richard. Dr. Edhlund and
his
team are down there on a voluntary basis, doing all they can to save
lives,
and I want to do anything that I can from here to help.

Thanks and best regards,
Lennie Anderson

Lennie,
I have received word from our Corporate HDQ that the only supplies
they are accepting right now are medical supplies due to the logistics
backlog they have in the warehouses there. We have had some requests for
supplies and equipment to be sent to that area but due to the backlog we
are not able move any cargo at this time.

Dear Richard, Anthony, Ester, and Connie,

Greetings. Since I have not been back on Guam for quite sometime now,
I'm sending this note to all of you, in hopes that you will see it
quickly.

An individual you are likely familiar with, Dr. Joe Edhlund, is
currently in Indonesia assisting with the Tsunami relief efforts. As
you may recall, Joe is the owner of Microasian Air (Sky Blue Air) and he
put forth huge efforts in flying water and medical supplies to many of
the islands in YAP State

following the typhoons there over the last 2 years.

Joe and his team are working closely with the Guam Medical Society and
the Ayuda Foundation, and they are currently focusing on getting
supplies and medical personnel between Meulaboh and Medan, and the
remote surrounding

areas that have only seen minimal amounts of aid thus far. It appears
that they have access to ample amounts of food and supplies from the UN,
but their biggest challenge is the distribution of these supplies.

The good news is that they have identified a small helicopter located on

Guam, that is available to be brought to Indonesia (via Singapore),
which would be ideal in conjunction with their distribution efforts.
Joe and his team have already saved a multitude of lives, thanks to
their efforts, but there is still so much to be done as many Indonesians
in the remote areas have not yet received any supplies and/or medical
attention. I do not have details on the crated dimensions, but
according to Joe, the weight is approximately 1 ton.

Is there anyway that NWA can assist in transporting the crated
helicopter between Guam and Singapore?

I recall being the Country Manager in Korea when the big earthquake took

place in Baggio, Philippines; we sent a significant amount of Red Cross
supplies to Baggio, via MNL, and it was one of the best things I did
during my 22 years at NWA.

Thanks in advance for your consideration and feel free to contact Dr.
Joe Edhlund directly at microasianair@yahoo.com .... he appears to have
access to the internet about once a day.

Appreciatively,
Lennie Anderson
